Caitlin and Mark not only chose THE most popular date to get married on but they also lucked out with THE most perfect, warm weather for an October wedding! The colors in the valley peaked perfectly with the most beautiful backdrop for their vow exchange, outdoors, at On A Whim Event Barn

I have had the pleasure of working with Caitlin and Mark for the last two years as they planned out every detail to their rustic barn celebration. I absolutely loved the rich colors and amazing decor Caitlin created. The touches of lace and romantic candle lit dinner with tables covered in floral decor where the perfect balance of rustic with the rich beautiful colors. The amount of work that Caitlin put into her floral decor was unbelievable! She made her own bouquets as well!

Guests were seated to the musical styling of guitarist, Christopher Rude, setting the mood perfectly for this sweet couple's nuptials.

Their ceremony, performed by Matrimony Mike, was entertaining, heartfelt and full of meaningful moments. The couple chose a fun tradition to commemorate the day. While some light candles, tie a rope or pour sand, Caitlin and Mark opted for a Whiskey Box. Prior to the ceremony, they had each written a letter to the other, describing the reasons they love each other and their hopes for their future together. With these letters, they place a bottle of whiskey and nail the box shut. The letters were sealed in individual envelopes and they had not see what the other had written. The tradition goes, that should they ever find their marriage facing hardships, they will open this box, sit and drink the whiskey together, then read the letters they wrote to one another to be reminded of the reasons why they chose each other to go on this journey through life. The hope is, however, they they will never have a reason to open this box. And if this is the case, they are to open this box to share and enjoy on their 5th year wedding anniversary, replenish and open on their 10th anniversary, and so on. Some choose to use wine, or to do this every year. I love this tradition!

While not everyone was able to be there, the couple chose to have them attend virtually! They streamed their ceremony for guests to see from far away. The groom was lucky to have his best friend arrive, after not seeing him for 10 years! Its so nice to have the ones you love most supporting you, from near and far, on your big day.

Guests were treated to a delicious meal provided by Premier Catering. Everything was simply amazing! I was even able to enjoy an incredible piece of cake, created by Meringue Bakery and Cafe. Everyone was blown away by just how great everything was!

Joe, from Radio 1 DJ Entertainment, played soft music throughout dinner and entertained us through the night! I always get choked up during the Father-Daughter dance, this time, I was definitely not alone. The entire room was tearing up as the bride and her father danced. Such an incredibly sweet moment! The party continued and everyone had fun, dancing the night away! This was such a fun group!

Thank you to Caitlin and Mark for allowing me to be apart of their day. It was an honor!
