Yellow is a beautiful color. It can mean many things. The color of a flower for a dear friend. The warmth of the sun. A sign of what is ahead or to slow down. Yellow is a happy color. It makes me think of spring. Daffodils and dandelions. Bumble bees and ducklings.
So, for this week, one of the gloomiest, bluest weeks yet, for such a happy, warm color to be the topic for my project, I found it a bit challenging.
I searched for something to inspire me, finding random yellow objects to photograph in a different light or a unique angle. I know, given the right amount of focus, time and energy, I could have very well found a more profound subject to shoot. However, I am a mom of three who is home most the week during the daylight hours and had to use what I already had in my house. I photographed bananas, flowers and toys...but for some silly reason, I came back to this crayon. To me it speaks of cute little hands making precious works of art to be hung on the fridge.
This week's submission for Yellow: I may have taken the easy way out on this one!
